Elizabeth George: Playing for the Ashes
Almost done with this. Not my favorite of hers, but a good read none the less. I have to have a mystery going.
Anne Fadiman: The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down
I am using this in my medical anthropology class and am enjoying rereading it.
Natalie Chanin: Alabama Stitch Book: Projects and Stories Celebrating Hand-Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery for Contemporary Sustainable Style
I love this book. She has these awesome hand sewn designs that use reverse applique techniques. Since I am miserable with the sewing machine I love projects I can do by hand.
Jonathan Franzen: The Corrections: A Novel
I know this is supposed to be excellent, but I just can't seem to get through it.
